Name: Michael Grasher

Previous title: Chief financial officer, IFG Companies

New title: Chief financial officer, Teladoc Health

Teladoc has appointed Grasher as its CFO effective immediately, the telehealth firm announced Monday. He’s succeeding Mala Murthy, who departed in November after six years for another opportunity.

Grasher has more than three decades of experience across insurance and financial services, including more than 12 years as a chief financial officer.

Most recently, Grasher was CFO of IFG Companies, a privately held property-casualty insurance organization, from February 2024 to September 2025.

Prior to that, he was CFO of specialty insurer Fortegra and finance chief of Amerisafe, a specialty provider of workers’ compensation insurance. Before moving into corporate finance leadership, he spent more than a decade in equity research as both a buy- and sell-side analyst.

Grasher’s combination of “public company experience, financial leadership and operating discipline” will be valuable for Teladoc as the company continues to strengthen its business, CEO Chuck Divita said in a statement.

The new appointment comes roughly a month after Teladoc lowered its guidance this year for revenue, partly due to its mental health services unit BetterHelp’s inability to meet rising demand for behavioral healthcare covered by insurance. The addition of Grasher, a veteran of the insurance world, could be valuable as Teladoc accelerates the rollout of its insurance-covered services.
