UHS to acquire Talkspace for $835M as hospital operator pursues behavioral health growth
Universal Health Services (UHS) announced on Monday that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire virtual behavioral health company Talkspace for approximately $835 million, or $5.25 per share. The move aims to help the for-profit hospital giant bypass staffing bottlenecks in the behavioral health sector while channeling more patients into its physical facilities. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.
Teladoc projects lower integrated care membership amid ACA subsidy lapse
In its fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report, Teladoc Health forecast that its B2B integrated care membership will decline to 97 million to 100 million in 2026 due to the expiration of enhanced ACA subsidies.
